This slurry pump was delivered to Morrow Repair Services where it was disassembled, cleaned and inspected. The inspection revealed a severely corroded spray nozzle manifold and a suction tube which sheared off at the flange. During pump operation the radial bearing spun in the housing and seized. The repair included a new suction tube and radial bearing housing that were manufactured and installed. In addition, MRS cleaned and repaired many parts including: the shaft, impeller and spray nozzles to keep repair costs down without compromising pump performance. The pump was assembled with new gaskets and painted before shipped out.
